ParaCid™ is a widely used material by pond and aquarium
hobbyists and
professionals for control of infestations of fish lice,
anchorworm and flukes which are common in pond and
aquarium habitats. ParaCid™ works extremely well on pond
fish species such as koi and goldfish as well as on
commonly found aquarium fish species.
Directions For Use.
Dissolve ˝ teaspoon of Paracid in dechlorinated water for every 100 Gallons of water to be treated and add to the pond or aquarium. Apply once a week for a four week time period. After treatment it is advisable to perform at least a 50% water change and replace all filter media.
Bath Application.
Should you want to avoid water changes and replacing filter media a bath application can be performed in a separate holding tank or “hospital tank”, do not reuse container for any other use. Remove affected fish from ecosystem and place in 100 ppm of Paracid. 100 PPM = 3/4 teaspoon of Parasite Treatment for every 34 oz. of pond water for no more than 15 minutes at 54°F or 45 minutes at 38°F. Aerate hospital tank vigorously during application.
Precautionary Statement.
This product is not safe for invertebrates and is advisable to wait at least 3 full days before
introducing invertebrates back into the ecosystem. Only use the amount stated above.
Overdosing will not increase affect. If swallowed call a physician immediately and induce
vomiting by administration of a tablespoon of salt in a glass of water. Repeat this process until vomit is clear.
