Koi Tonic 
Koi Tonic is a natural calcium bentonite. Also known as montmorillonite clay, Koi Tonic is rich in essential minerals, enables Koi lovers a simple yet effective way to introduce minerals to koi via direct introduction to koi ponds.
The biggest challenge to most koi keepers is to emulate the natural habitat for koi. In Japan, natural mud ponds are native habitat for the fish. Minerals found in natural clay are essential to aquatic lives and they help in regulating an ideal living environment through the ionization process. Limited minerals found in pond water are quickly used up by fish, plants, and organisms. These minerals can be replaced through water changes or through direct introduction.
Once per week, mix two ounces (2 level tablespoons) of Koi Tonic per 1,000 gallons of water. Dissolve the dosage in a bucket of pond water and pour it into a corner of the pond. The pond will initially cloud but will clear within 24 hours. In extreme cases of poor water quality, use the prescribed dosage twice a week until the desired water condition is attained. Visible results can be seen within two or three weeks.
