CrystalClear Dechlorinator Dry/Liquid has been designed to remove toxic chlorine/chloramine plus reduce the chlorine & ammonia down to non-toxic levels. Even low levels of chlorine & chloramine can be toxic to fish. These substances are added to cities water supplies to make water safe for human consumption. However, they are extremely harmful to all pond life. Chlorine and chloramines cause gill damage which eventually results in gill lesions. These lesions will thicken the gill filaments leaving fish unable to utilize oxygen and release carbon dioxide, thus resulting in fish death. To prevent this damage from occuring add dechlorinator to your pond with each water exchange or when beginning a new pond. Dechlorinator will safely and effectively remove these harmful substances from ponds and water gardens.
